Ohio State Basketball: Bucks move up in Week 14 Big Ten power rankings
Indiana started off week 14 with a tough home loss to Iowa by the score of 77-72. The Hoosiers were coming off a big win at East Lansing but just couldn’t make the comeback against the Hawkeyes.
Indiana would then lose their second straight game against Ohio State on Sunday as the Hoosiers led by 3 with 45 seconds to go at home but were just not able to close out the win. This hurts their NCAA tournament hopes as beating the Buckeyes would have been a big victory. Instead the Hoosiers will have to live with being on the bubble.
Indiana’s only game in week 15 will come against Minnesota.
It’s a shame for Illinois fans that they had such a terrible start to this season. As we get towards the tail end of the Big Ten Conference, the Fighting Illini have won 4 of their last 5 games including two against ranked opponents.
Michigan State was the latest victim as the Illinois was able to pull off the biggest upset of the Big Ten season thanks to 24 points from freshman guard Ayo Dosunmu. The Illini also defeated the Rutgers Scarlet Knights on Saturday.
If there was one dark horse that could make a run in the Big Ten Tournament, it very well could be this team which has played very well in February. Illinois has a difficult week 15 though as they go to both Ohio State and Wisconsin in two tough away games.
