Iowa decided to show up in a big way at home against Michigan this past Friday as the Hawkeyes routed the Wolverines 74-59 in their only Big Ten action of the week. Luke Garza led Iowa shooting 8/12 from the field and scoring 19 points in the huge resume booster.

The Hawkeyes are now pretty firmly cemented in the field of 68 after that win and will be looking to improve their seeding in this final month of Big Ten play.

Maryland had lost 2 games in a row before they were able to get back into the win column with a win over Northwestern on Tuesday. Sophomore big man Bruno Fernando led the team with an impressive double-double scoring 22 points and grabbing 10 rebounds in the victory.

The Terrapins followed up the win with their third loss in 4 games to a streaking Wisconsin Badger team. Bruno Fernando yet again had a double-double but it was obviously not enough to get the win.

Maryland has one lone game against Nebraska on Wednesday.
