Ohio State Basketball: Week 12 Big Ten power rankings
After streaking for a while, the Iowa Hawkeyes have again come back down to earth, losing both of their games in week 12. To be fair to the Hawkeyes, both games were very tough as most Big Ten game are as they were tasked with facing both Michigan State and Minnesota.
The Spartans ran them off the court as the Hawkeyes fell 82-57, but the Minnesota game was closer as Iowa could just never get over the hump losing 92-87.
Ohio State finally was able to get the monkey off their backs and end their losing streak of 5 games. But it didn’t come before losing to a streaky Purdue team first. The Buckeyes were able to finally get back into the win column on Saturday in Lincoln Nebraska, beating a Cornhusker team on the road 70-60.
That being said, Ohio State isn’t yet out of the NCAA Tournament yet but time is running short as we get close to February, they will need one or two signature wins and a little bit of a win streak to crack the field of 68 this year.
