The Ohio State Buckeyes have their work cut out for them to make the NCAA Tournament. Here are the Big Ten power rankings after week 12.
Streaks were both started and ended by many in the Big Ten Conference in week 12. Michigan State and Iowa had their winning streaks inside the Big Ten come to a crashing halt and Ohio State got a long overdue Big Ten win over Nebraska.
Big Ten action is starting to get heated as we head into February! Here is the Big Ten Basketball Power Rankings for week 12.

After getting back to their winning ways in week 12 and a well placed Michigan State loss, Michigan takes their rightful spot back at number one in these rankings. A ranking they have held for every single week except last week.
Week 12 didn’t come that easy for the Wolverines though. It started out with a scare against Minnesota on Tuesday. One in which the Wolverines shot just 13% from beyond the arc and 33% from the field but still managed a 2 point victory thanks to a Charles Matthews buzzer beater.
The next contest against Indiana was a different story as the Wolverines started the game on a 17-0 run and never looked back defeating the Hoosiers 69-46.
Michigan State looked quite possibly like the best team in the country let alone the Big Ten until they ran into Purdue. It didn’t go well from the start for the Spartans as the Boilermakers led at the half by 18 and stretched their lead even further as Izzo’s crew trailed by 22 early in the second half.
A late surge propelled by Cassius Winston was not enough as the Spartan’s 13 game winning streak came to an end on Sunday. Earlier in the week however, Michigan State did get the better of Iowa and Maryland, both top 25 match ups.
Next up in week 13 for Michigan State is the Indiana Hoosiers who have lost a whopping six games in a row.
