It’s time to celebrate Illinois fans as your team has finally gotten out of the 14th spot in these rankings with a blowout home victory over Minnesota. One in which the Illini scored 95 points and were led by Freshman guard Ayo Dosunmu who had 23 points in the surprising victory.
This didn’t carry over to their next game on Sunday though as Illinois fell to Iowa, in a game where the Illini tasted their own medicine, giving up 95 points to the Hawkeyes.
The Penn State Nittany Lions are now the only Big Ten team that doesn’t have a win in Big Ten play. They came very close to going 2-0 this past week though as they lost by just 7 to Iowa on Wednesday and by 1 to a reeling Minnesota team on Saturday.
Penn State has a good shot of breaking into the win column in week 12 however as their only contest comes at home Saturday against Rutgers.
