There was cause to celebrate for Northwestern fans in week 11 as they won their lone game against Rutgers on Friday. Senior Center Derek Pardon led the Wildcats with 17 points and 7 rebounds followed closely by transfer Ryan Taylor who had 14 points in the contest.

Northwestern moved to 2-5 in Big Ten play and looks to keep the momentum going in week 12 against Indiana Tuesday and Wisconsin on Saturday.

The Rutgers Scarlet Knights haven’t been able to repeat what they did against Ohio State on their home floor as that still remains their only win in Big Ten play. They were absolutely blown away on the road against Purdue losing 89-54 and then followed that up with a tough home loss to Northwestern on Friday.

If you are looking for the source of the problem, it’s that the Scarlet Knights don’t have a consistent scorer. Sound like anyone else we know Buckeye fans?
