Indiana, much like Michigan State, were tripped up by two strong opponents early in the season, but was able to finish with an 11-2 record heading back into conference play. The Hoosiers ended their non conference 9 days ago but they go into week 9 with one of the best freshman in the country in Romeo Langford.

He leads the team in scoring at 17.5 points per game. Langford will look to continue Indiana’s strong start in the Big Ten on Thursday versus Illinois.

Ohio State is the only team in the Big Ten that only suffered one loss in the non conference but some could argue that they didn’t play teams the caliber that Michigan State and Indiana faced.

Still 12-1 is nothing to scoff at and the Buckeyes got their 12th win over High Point this Saturday in what was an impressive game for Senior, C.J. Jackson who scored 20 points. The senior knocked down three from behind the arc in the final non conference win for Ohio State.

Ohio State has definitely overachieved for the second season in a row under Chris Holtmann and looks to continue their strong season against Michigan State on Saturday. Fortunately that’s a game I will be lucky enough to attend.
