With two wins this week the Ohio State basketball team improved to 11-1 on the season and remains in the top four in the Big Ten power rankings.

Big Ten Basketball kept rolling through the non conference schedule in week 7 with a couple of big wins for the Buckeyes as well as other teams in the conference. The top of the conference stayed hot in the past week but the lower end of the conference struggled against some better teams.

Lets see how this weeks Big Ten Basketball Power Rankings plays out.

  1. Michigan | 12-0 (2-0)

  14. Illinois | 4-8 (0-2)

Michigan only played one game in week 7 but it was yet another impressive win in which they defeated Air Force by a score of 71-50. The Wolverines were led by freshman Ignas Brazdeikis who scored 19 points on 7/13 shooting.

Brazdeikis has been yet another overseas revelation for the Wolverines as he is currently averaging 16.1 points and 4.8 rebounds per game. It’s safe to say that Michigan is all in on overseas talent.

After what could be seen as a slow start for the standards of Michigan State, Tom Izzo definitely has the Spartans rolling now with a 30 point win over Oakland.

Cassius Winston put on an efficient display of basketball scoring 26 points on 10/13 shooting for the Spartans. Like most Spartan teams, they are very disciplined and unselfish as they currently rank tops in the nation in assists and 5th in assists to turnover ratio.

Nothing new for the Spartans.
