The Big Ten Conference is well represented this bowl season with the marquee matchup being Ohio State vs. Washington in the Rose Bowl.

Every week this season I provided my predictions for Big Ten games. I went 74-31 on the year.

The conference went 7-1 in bowl games last year.  Will it fare as well this season?

Here are my predictions:

Ohio State vs. Washington

If a team does not  make the college football playoff invitational, there is no better place to finish the season than Pasadena. The Rose Bowl is the “Granddaddy of them All” for a reason.

Nestled at the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains, the stadium is college football’s most distinguished venue.

Greatness has been achieved on this field across generations. Older Buckeye Nation fans remember when the Rose Bowl was the preeminent prize.

11 years have passed since these two programs played each other.

This game puts strength and against strength. Ohio State’s offense ranks No. 8 in scoring averaging 43.5 points per game and Washington defense ranks No. 5 15.5 points-per-game. Which unit succeeds?

Typically, I would lean defense, especially after a long layoff.  I just think Urban Meyer coaching his last game coupled with Dwayne Haskins playing his last game will drive the Buckeyes to a win.

Close first half but Ohio State pulls away in the third quarter to win comfortably, 38-20.
