Ohio State Basketball: Power rankings as Big Ten play kicks off

Penn State’s week started out fantastic with a home victory over 13th ranked Virginia Tech in the Big Ten/ACC challenge. However, the start of Big Ten play was not as successful with a loss to 24th ranked Maryland.

Still, beating a top 15 opponent and then hanging with another top 25 opponent in back to back weeks is nothing to laugh at. The Nittany Lions will look to get a big win over the Indiana Hoosiers next.

Not many would have envisioned Purdue being off to a slow start this season. But the fact of the matter is, virtually the only big games the Boilermakers have played this season have ended in losses.

Purdue was 0-2 this week falling to both Florida State and Michigan. Those are two very solid teams but the Boilermakers need to start winning to make their way back up to the top of these rankings.
