Ohio State Basketball: Power rankings as Big Ten play kicks off

.The Michigan Wolverines have continued their tear through quality opponents this season. Their wins this week came against 11th ranked North Carolina by a score of 84-67 and 19th ranked Purdue 76-57.

Michigan is 5th in the AP poll and looks virtually unstoppable at the moment. Canadian freshman Ignas Brazdeikis has led the Wolverines in scoring so far averaging 16.3 points per game. Michigan’s next conference game is with Northwestern.

The Wisconsin Badgers were victorious in a huge conference match up with Iowa Friday night. The Badgers defeated the Hawkeyes 72-66 in large part due to a game clinching three by D’Mitrik Trice from Huber Heights, Ohio with 20 seconds left in the game.

Trice and senior center Ethan Happ have led the Badgers in scoring this season as both players are averaging 17.6 points per game. Wisconsin also had a close win over NC State in the ACC/Big Ten challenge and moved up to 12th in this weeks AP Poll.
