Ohio State Basketball: Big Ten basketball power rankings, Michigan on top

Here I am thinking Nebraska is going to be a very good team in the Big Ten this season and then lays egg against Texas Tech, losing 70-52. Maybe I am underestimating the Red Raiders, but I just felt like the Cornhuskers should be able to compete with them. That being said Nebraska is still 5-1 and Tim Miles is a solid coach.

Nebraska will kick off the Big Ten vs ACC challenge with a match up against Clemson that should be interesting.

Rutgers has been at the very bottom of the basketball spectrum since joining the Big Ten but they look like they could be at least a little bit better this season with a 5-1 start. The only loss came to St. Johns, a team that many really like after a strong finish to the season last year.

The Scarlet Knights also held Eastern Michigan to just 4 points going into halftime and won that one 63-36. Before you go thinking that the Eagles are simply terrible, they were picked to win the MAC West in a conference where Buffalo is ranked 21st after three weeks.
