I have been successful predicting Big Ten games for most of the season but last week I missed on the Ohio State football game and my record wasn’t so hot.

Every week I provide my predictions for Big Ten games. Last week I finished 2-4 and missed on the Ohio State football game as well. I am losing my mojo.

I am still 62-28 on the year, but I caution following my lead when betting.

Before I get to my week 12 predictions, I would like to take a moment to highlight the schedule for the self- described “best conference” in the FBS.

No. 1 Alabama is playing the Citadel.  I guess it is too exhausting playing Arkansas State, Louisiana, Louisville and the perpetually over-rated SEC West that the Tide needed a break before playing Auburn.

Speaking of the Tigers, they are playing Liberty.  A win should put them in the Top 10 just in time for the Iron Bowl.

No. 5 Georgia plays UMass, which by most measures is an FCS school masquerading with the Big Boys.

Not to be outdone, No. 7 LSU is playing Rice, which just lost to UTEP making the Owls the worst FBS program.  Joey Bureaux should have a record day for the Tigers.

No. 13 Florida welcomes Idaho, a program that unlike UMass, realized it has no business being in the FBS and dropped back down to the FCS.

No. 17 Kentucky, exhibit A for the bias toward the SEC.  The Wildcats beat Central Michigan and Murray State in non-conference, get waxed by Georgia and Tennessee, and they still remain in the Top 20.

Oh, they are playing Middle Tennessee State which sadly is one of the better opponents any SEC team is facing this week.

Realizing Mississippi would not be a threat, No. 21 Mississippi State decided to schedule its cupcake the week before their game against Alabama.  The Bulldogs beat Louisiana Tech 45-3 and still lost to Alabama by 28.

This week they play Arkansas which is pretty much the same as playing an FCS school.

Poor Texas A&M. They scheduled UAB, a program that came back into existence after a two-year hiatus in 2015-2016, hoping it would be breeze.  I would not be shocked if the 9-1 Blazers win the game.

The SEC homers will quickly argue that the Aggies, despite the loss, are still worthy of being ranked considering they beat Kentucky and Arkansas.

South Carolina needs to beat Chattanooga to become bowl eligible.  Is there a coach that underachieves more than Will Muschamp?

Finally, Vanderbilt plays Mississippi State and Missouri plays Tennessee.  Winners will vault into the Top 25.

Have the guts to schedule better opponents.  These games are a joke and the CFP Invitational Committee should punish them.

Here are my week 12 Big Ten predictions:
