Here is a look at the power rankings after Week 10. The Ohio State football team wasn’t impressive enough to move up this week.

Week 10 of the College Football Season is in the books and we definitely got some surprises. Alabama won, okay that wasn’t really a surprise. However, it was a surprise the Crimson Tide won in the manner they did.

How far did LSU fall after their disappointing home performance? Did Georgia crack the top 4 after their big SEC East win? And how far did Michigan rise after a dominating performance against Penn State?.

All these questions and more will be answered in this weeks edition of the College Football Power Rankings.

10. UCF

Ranking Last Week: 8

Week 10 Result: Win vs. Temple 52-40

Upcoming Week: Home vs. Navy

The UCF defense definitely showed some flaws in its 52-40 shootout win over Temple on Thursday night, giving up 670 total yards with 444 of those coming via the air. Thankfully for the Knights, they put up 630 yards of their own and were able to scrap out a win over the Owls who were previously undefeated in the conference.

McKenzie Milton led the Knights with 312 passing yards and 3 touchdowns while Greg McCrae racked up 188 rushing yards and a touchdown of his own on the ground. A win is a win for the Knights, but the defensive showing against the Owls does not bode well for their argument of a College Football Playoff spot.

9. Ohio State

Ranking Last Week: 9

Week 10 Result: Win vs. Nebraska 36-31

Upcoming Week: Away @ Michigan State

What was the last sentence in the paragraph I just wrote? A win is a win also certainly applies to Ohio State after the ugly victory over a two-win Nebraska team Saturday. The narrative continued on defense for the Buckeyes as they gave up 450 total yards to the Cornhuskers as well as 31 points.

Improvement is definitely needed as Ohio State will travel to East Lansing next week to play 24th ranked Michigan State. The good news for the Buckeyes however is the offense looked more balanced than it did against the Purdue Boilermakers as JK Dobbins was able to run for 163 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Mike Weber also chipped in 91 yards as well in a very successful week on the ground for the Buckeyes, something that was not present against Purdue two weeks before. Urban Meyer and Ohio State will look to continue that against a Michigan State defense that is ranked first in the nation in rushing yards allowed this season.
