The Ohio State football team is back im action following a bye and this week’s slate of Big Ten games promises to be one of the best this season.

Every week I will provide my predictions for  the Big Ten games. Last week I finished 2-4. That’s the last time I have faith in away teams. I am 55-22 on the year.

This has the potential to be one of the better weeks in the Big Ten season.

Here are my week 10 predictions:

Nebraska at Ohio State

The Buckeyes have had two weeks to regroup, get healthier and work on the issues plaguing the team.

Defensively, there has been plenty of discussion on the scheme of having the linebackers at the line of scrimmage and poor tackling.

That’s fine, but the real issues are attitude and determination.

The leaders need to demand more of everyone.  If that fails to happen, this team will not win in November.

Offensively, J.K. Dobbins and Mike Weber are too good for the lack of production to continue.  I expect the coaches to mix in different looks, possibly getting an extra blocker in since the defenses don’t have to account for Dwayne Haskins running the ball.

I am not worried about the red zone issues from the Purdue game.  That was purely execution.

Nebraska could not buy a win until two weeks ago.  They are improving on both sides of the ball, but depth and talent are still deficient.

The keys to this game are shutting down the Cornhuskers’ ground game which is averaging 220.6 yards-per-game and getting pressure on Adrian Martinez forcing him into mistakes.

The last two games have been blowouts.  I don’t see this one going the same way, but I do think Ohio State takes control in the second half and wins 45-24.
