As usual there were fine performances by former Ohio State football players playing in the NFL last week. Here are the power rankings of former Buckeyes after week 6.

Another grueling week of the NFL is in the books for these Ohio State football alumni, and that means it is time for another NFL Buckeye power ranking heading into week 7. We see another new face this week and we also see someone who has been in the rankings since I started them, fall out.

All in all, it wasn’t a great collective week for the former Ohio State football players in the NFL, but there were still some players that did well. Let’s get started.

10. Malik Hooker

Last Week: Not Ranked

Week 6: 1 Tackle | 1 INT | 1 Pass defended
Season: 18 Tackles | 8 Assists | 1 INT | 2 Passes Defended

Malik Hooker was one of my favorite players to watch on the defensive side of the ball in his one year he started for Ohio State. He was one of the best ball hawks to ever to play for the Buckeyes and was the best player on a defense that practically carried an underwhelming offense to the College Football Playoff in 2016.

It was in that playoff when Hooker picked off a Deshaun Watson pass out of no where in the end zone. We ended up getting killed the rest of the game, but when this play happened it was still relatively close and I remember how much in awe I was of Hooker.

He has continued on to being a fine player in the NFL after getting off to a relatively slow start due to injury. Malik is starting to really come around for the Colts.

He picked off his first pass of the season, and I guarantee that baring injury it won’t be his last.

9. Vonn Bell

Last Week: 8

Week 6: Bye Week
Season: 20 Tackles | 6 Assists | 1 TFL | 2 Passes Defended

The Saints had a bye week this week and that made for some interesting movements in this weeks rankings.

Vonn Bell moves down a spot in this week, but it has still been a solid season for Bell and a much improved Saints defense.
