2. Tua Tagovailoa

Arguably the Heisman front-runner most of the season, Tua Tagovailoa has been extremely impressive for the Crimson Tide. In a 39-10 win against Missouri, everyone in Tuscaloosa held their breaths as their star quarterback left in the third quarter with an apparent knee sprain.

Luckily, Tagovailoa was able to leave the field under his own power. Despite an impressive 1,760 passing yards for 21 touchdowns and a passer rating of 248.1, Tagovailoa has yet to throw a single pass in the fourth quarter in any game this season for the Tide.

His performance all season long has been remarkable. However, Tagovailoa’s Heisman hopes will be put to test as Alabama heads into the second half of their season with huge matchups against #5 LSU, #22 Mississippi State and Auburn in the Iron Bowl.
