Dwayne Haskins leads Heisman race heading into Week 8

4. Justin Herbert

Despite a loss to Stanford in week 4, the Oregon Ducks head into week 8 ranked #12 in the country. Much of the credit for the Ducks’ success this season is due to the play of quarterback Justin Herbert.

The 6’6, 233 lbs junior quarterback has led Oregon to statement wins in a hostile environment at #24 California and an thrilling overtime victory against #7 Washington. Herbert was 18 for 32 with 202 passing yards and two touchdowns in the Ducks overtime win against the Huskies.

For the season Herbert has completed 63.1 percent of his passes for 1,613 yards and 17 touchdowns.

His play and his Heisman case will be put to the test for a third week in a row when the Ducks travel to Pullman, Washington. ESPN College Gameday will be there as #12 Oregon vs. #24 Washington State promises to be quite a showdown.
