Q: Is Dwayne Haskins your Heisman frontrunner? [Did] James Franklin’s decision on 4th & 5 affect [Trace] McSorley’s Heisman campaign?

A: Dwayne Haskins is certainly in the thick of the Heisman race, especially after Ohio State’s comeback win against Penn State this past weekend. However, I still have to give the edge to Tua Tagovailoa as the frontrunner.

Despite a lack of stiff competition for the Crimson Tide so far, Tagovailoa has done a tremendous job controlling what he can control and that is the team in front of him.

Haskins has already had two major tests away from home and has excelled in both, and has his “Heisman moment” which was the game winning 96-yard drive to complete the comeback against Penn State. All of these factors have elevated Haskins to a strong No. 2 in my Heisman Watchlist.

  1. Tua Tagovailoa
  2. Dwayne Haskins
  3. Kyler Murray
  4. Will Grier
  5. Trace McSorley
