4. Ezekiel Elliot
Week 3: 16 Rushes | 127 Yards | 7.9 Y/C
Season: 48 Rushes | 274 Yards | 2 TDs | 5.7 Y/C
Everyone knows about the offensive struggles of the Cowboys. They simply don’t have very many playmakers in the system any more, and even if they did many would question whether or not Dak Prescott would be able to get it to them.
Whatever the case, Ezekiel Elliott had himself an outstanding game in a loss to the Seahawks rushing for 127 yards on 16 carries. Quietly, Zeke has himself tied at the top of the NFL rushing leader board with 274 yards on the season.
So while the Cowboys offense has faltered this season, Zeke has been doing what he normally does.
3. Darron Lee
Week 3: 4 Tackles | 3 Assists
Season: 11 Tackles | 7 Assists | 2 INTs | 1 TD | 3 Pass Breakups
If there was anyone who had a great start to the NFL season it was Darron Lee, picking off Matthew Stafford twice on Monday Night Football and taking one back for a touchdown. For the season he has racked up 11 tackles and 7 assists.
At Ohio State Darron Lee was always one of the fastest players on the field at linebacker, and covered the pass very well. It should come as no surprise to Buckeye fans that he has broken up 3 passes already this season which for a linebacker is impressive.
