6. Cameron Heyward
Week 3: 1 Tackle
Season: 9 Tackles | 2 Assists | 1 Sack | 1 FF’
Cameron Heyward came out of the gates quickly in the first two games of the season notching 8 tackles, a sack, and a forced fumble, announcing himself on a rather lackluster Pittsburgh defense. On Monday night against the Buccaneers however, Heyward was only able to get one tackle on the night and for that he drops a spot in these rankings.
5. Carlos Hyde
Week 3: 23 Carries | 98 Yards | 2 TDs | 4.3 Y/C
Season: 61 Carries | 203 Yards | 4 TDs | 3.3 Y/C
Carlos Hyde has carried the brunt of the load in the Cleveland backfield this season carrying the ball 61 times whereas the next highest ball carrier has been Duke Johnson with 10. Combine that with a shoddy Cleveland offensive line and what you are probably going to get is a low yards per carry number.
Nonetheless, Hyde has scored 4 rushing touchdowns on the year which is tied with Todd Gurley and Isaiah Crowell for best in the league.
