8. Marshon Lattimore

Week 3: 2 Tackles

Season: 8 Tackles | 2 Assists | 1 Pass Defended | 1 FF

The expectations were high coming into the season for reigning defensive NFL Rookie of the Year Marshon Lattimore. While the Saints’ defense has not looked all that great to start the season, Lattimore is still a reliable corner for the Saints.

For whatever reason, rookie Buckeye corners always seem to have outstanding years, then come back down to earth the next. Look at Bradley Roby who had 65 tackles and 2 interceptions his rookie year and hasn’t been able to rack up more than 35 tackles since.

Either way, Lattimore has still been good for the Saints, just not as good as we might have expected him to be.

7. Malcolm Jenkins

Week 3: Tackles | 1 Assist | 1 Pass Defended

Season: 10 Tackles | 2 Assists | 1 FF | 1 Pass Defended

Malcolm Jenkins has always been a reliable safety in the NFL and this year is no different. 10 tackles and a forced fumble this season has proven that he continues to be reliable today.

He looks to get his second pro bowl nod in a row and gives the Eagles a veteran over the top presence on an elite defense that will be looking to compete for Super Bowl titles for years to come.
