Each week I report how former Ohio State football players in the NFL performed and rank their performances to this point in the season as well.
Former Ohio State football players in the NFL performed well during week 3 of the NFL season. Some of the Buckeyes shined as usual and there were good performances around the league from rookies as there are every year.
Joey Bosa once again didn’t play and that is disappointing because I am sure that we would see him on this list. Nevertheless, we power on with the week 3 NFL Buckeyes Power Ranking.
10. Raekwon McMillan
Week 3: 2 Tackles | 2 Assists
Season: 8 Tackles | 5 Assists | 1 FR
Raekwon McMillan didn’t have his best performance the season in a win over the Raiders but he didn’t do enough. Or rather people behind him let him down.
Either way, Raekwon McMillan has been a reliable force in the middle of a surprising Miami defense through the first 3 weeks of the NFL season.
9. Jerome Baker
Week 3: 7 Tackles | 2 Assists
Season: 12 Tackles | 5 Assists
A new face shows up in this weeks version of the NFL Buckeye Power Rankings and it is another Dolphin. Jerome Baker impressed us in his career with Ohio State with his quickness and athleticism at the linebacker position.
He is doing much of the same for a 3-0 Miami Dolphins defense. In particular, he had a big week and because of that performance he has vaulted into the rankings.
After Chase Allen went down with an injury, Baker saw increased playing time and turned that into a 7 tackle, 2 assist game to add to what has already been a pretty good rookie year. I am looking forward to seeing what he can do the rest of the season.
