Penn State at Pitt

The Battle of Pennsylvania.

Last year James Franklin stirred the pot by comparing a win over Pitt to beating Akron.  A closer than anticipated win over Appalachian State last week has him singing a different tune.  Suddenly Pitt is a huge game.

Will his team play better than last week?  It better, especially on defense, or they’ll walk out with a loss.

We don’t know much about the Panthers yet.  They beat Albany last week.

The Nittany Lions looked like they lacked an identity on offense last week.  They were good, but they we’re also inconsistent.  Not having Saquon Barkley and DaeSean Hamilton can do that.

I expect them to lean on Miles Sanders a little more this week and get his carries around 25.  That strategy will work and Penn State wins a close game, 31-23.
