Ohio State Football: Predictions for conference championship games

Akron vs. Toledo

TS  It took six seasons, but Terry Bowden finally has Akron in the MAC Championship game. Chuck Amato is his defensive coordinator so the football experience on the sideline is substantive.

Toledo has put together a solid 10-2 season losing only to Miami and Ohio.  Quarterback Logan Woodside might be college football’s best kept secret.  He has thrown for 3451 yards and 24 touchdowns and just three interceptions.

He’ll be the difference maker in this game.  Rockets roll to an easy win 45-20.

CL  I will go with a head coach who has been in big game situations before so I pick Akron to win in  a closer game.

Akron wins 34-27.
