Ohio State vs. Penn State: Stage Set for Epic Game

Huge game for the Ohio State Buckeyes on the horizon.

The Ohio State vs. Penn State game has been percolating for 12 months.  It may not carry the same weight as “The Game”, but an epic collision is coming on October 28.

The Ohio State-Penn State rivalry to me is much like the Alabama LSU rivalry. The games are more physical and hard-hitting than most.  The trench battles are intense and both teams know it will be a 60-minute grind.

A few classic games in the series include 1995, 2005, 2008 and 2014.  This year has the potential to be a dandy.

The Buckeyes lead the series 17-14 and have won four out of the last five.  This will be the first time since 2008 that both teams are ranked in the Top 10, providing the Nittany Lions beat Michigan this Saturday.

I cannot recall a game where both teams can call it a revenge game. Ohio State collapsed in the fourth quarter last year in Happy Valley losing 24-21, but still made it to the College Football Playoff over Penn State who won the Big Ten.
