Week 1 Recap

Hello again my College fantasy football devotees. We are gearing up for week two and I cannot wait for Saturday to roll around. After week 1, my fantasy team is 1-0 and I can only hope yours are too. My goal each week is that my Starts and Sits pan out to be beneficial decisions and help everyone out. So lets look what went right and well, what went wrong.

My week one must starts were Courtland Sutton, Anu Solomon, and Mark Walton. I give myself a B grade on these three picks and I’ll tell you why.

Solomon and Walton put together phenomenal statistical outings, racking in a solid amount of yards and getting into the end zone several times. Now what takes this grade down from a possible A is the performance of Courtland Sutton.

Even though he scored a touchdown, Sutton caught just two passes for a total of 22 yards. For a guy who I believed was on his way to a 150 yard+ performance, it was quite disappointing.

Now for my week one sits, those guys I just had a feeling about. I advised you all to sit Malik Zaire, Nick Chubb, and the Florida State Defense. Once again, 2 for 3.

Zaire was named the back up before the game on Saturday, and while he did play in the second half he did virtually nothing. For the Seminal defense, they gave up 24 to the Tide and didn’t do much else to earn any defensive points. Now for Chubb, he was the only one of the three who turned out to be a smart play, finding the end zone twice and getting a plentiful amount of carries.

Week 2

Week two is just as interesting as week one, but for quite different reasons. We now have a platform to base our players on and have expectations for the each of them.

We also have to think whether players week 1 performances were flukes or if they are here to stay in our lineups for the year. This week I again have three guys you should definitely start, and three you should definitely sit… and this time I’m going to hit on six for six.
