Rimington-Pace Offensive Lineman of the Year

Not sure why Dave Rimington’s name is on this award.  Legendary player, but Nebraska was not in the Big Ten when he played.

Ohio State linemen have owned this award the last two seasons.  Can the Buckeyes make it three in a row?

Billy Price certainly has the talent to get his name etched on the award.  Moving to center will definitely increase his chances.  He’s the favorite, but has plenty of company, starting with his fellow SLOB.

Jamarco Jones’ took over for Taylor Decker and shined in his first season a starter.  He protects Barrett’s backside and sets the edge for running outside.  It is hard to image him not dominating this year considering the toughest competition he’ll face is in practice every day.

If Price or Jones don’t win, there are plenty of strong candidates including Michigan’s Mason Cole, Michigan State’s Brian Allen and Penn State’s Ryan Bates.  The Big Ten is loaded with offensive linemen.
