Right Tackle: Jack Mewhort (2011-13)
I loved when Ohio State had Jack Mewhort, and actually studied film on him early on in my sports writing career. During the three years Mewhort was a starter along the offensive line for the Buckeyes, he literally helped pave the way to a school-record setting run of 24-consecutive regular season victories (2012-13).
Being a handpicked team captain by Urban Meyer, Mewhort started in the last 39 games of his 49-game career. Meyer also called Jack one of the best players on Ohio State’s prolific, record-setting 2013 offense that rushed for more rushing yards (4,321) than any team in the history of Ohio State football.
