Ohio State Buckeyes NFL Draft Review

Tyvis Powell, S- UDFA to Seattle: Joining Vannett, Powell looks to add depth to an already competitive team. The Seahawks needed to add depth to the safety position behind Kam Chancellor and Earl Thomas, but neglected to make an addition during the Draft.

Powell has the traits of a third round quality free safety and it is surprising to see him not get selected at all. This is a great addition for Seattle and they have a great core to help develop him into a playmaking safety. Powell has the size and fluid movement to hang in man coverage and may see action in the slot early on.
