Sticking in the secondary, the Buckeyes have already received commitments from two of the best safeties in the class, although one of them could potentially grow into a different position.

Brendon White committed to the Buckeyes back in October, and since then has only seen his stock rise. White is now ranked as the 10th best safety in the country. Older Buckeye fans will remember his father, William White, who played at Ohio State in the mid to late 80’s.

White stars at nearby Olentangy Liberty, in Powell. He held offers from Michigan, Michigan State, and Notre Dame as well. While his recruitment will only continue to heat up, White is a lock to stay in this class.

The other safety in the class hails from the state of Georgia, continuing Urban Meyer’s success in an always fertile southern state.

Isaiah Pryor gave his verbal to Urban Meyer and Ohio State in July of last year. He holds offers from pretty much every major college football program in the country, including Georgia, Oklahoma, LSU, and Notre Dame.

Pryor is from Lawrenceville, Georgia, a place the Buckeyes have had some success in before. He has since transferred to IMG Academy, the college prep school that just saw 20 of their athletes get offered by the University of Tennessee in a single day.

247 currently has him ranked as the third best safety in the state. He is a big body at 6’2″ 190 pounds, and could very well evolve into a better outside linebacker as he adds more weight and strength.

Either way, Pryor has the makings of an impact player, regardless of where he lines up at. He joined fellow Buckeye commit Marcus Williamson in receiving an invite to Nike’s The Opening.

Keeping him in the class should not be an issue either. He is a very quiet kid, and seems to be very happy to have his decision out of the way. You can expect him to stay committed.
