Ohio State Recruiting: Your 2016 Buckeyes Class
By Dillon Davis
Michael Jordan- Plymouth (Canton, MI)
Size: 6’6″- 305 lbs.
Position: OT (#13 OT, 4 stars)
Jordan made an official visit for the spring game, and surprised many just a few weeks later when he committed to the Buckeyes.
He held offers from both Michigan and Michigan State, and it appeared he would ultimately decide between the two of them.
Having lost out on both top tackles in the state to Notre Dame, the Buckeyes were left wondering who would be their guy in this class. It didn’t take long for them to find out.
Jordan comes in a little more raw than some of the top recruits at the position, but he has a ton of upside. He is a good athlete for his size, and his long arms suit him perfectly for the tackle position.
The Buckeyes will be breaking in two new tackles this year. Isaiah Prince and Jamarco Jones both figure to have a leg up when spring practice begins in March. Both have multiple years of eligibility left, meaning that the tackle positions could be in good hands for several years to come.
Injuries and issues happen, though, and there is plenty of room behind them for Jordan to add some quality depth.
He is an early enrollee, and will have a jump start on building himself into a player that could crack the two-deep roster sooner rathe than later.
