National Signing Day is in the books, and Buckeyes fan are celebrating what could wind up being the best class in Ohio State recruiting history.

Recruiting is a crap shoot by nature. Elite targets fail to ever develop at the rate they were projected, and

kids that came in under the radar blossom into stars.

Nevertheless, it pays to bring in top classes on a yearly basis. Just ask Alabama and their 5 straight number one ranked classes. Those classes have been a part of three national championships in that span.

The 2016 class has 24 commitments, and has addressed virtually every perceived “need” in the program. Ranked as the number one class by every major recruiting service, Urban Meyer has restocked the cupboard.

The class seemed somewhat stagnant in the month of December, and into early January. But Urban Meyer has earned the reputation of being quite the closer as recruiting classes come to a close, and this year is no different.

On the strength of six commitments in the final three weeks leading up to National Signing Day, Meyer has taken this class from “great” to, potentially one of the best in program history.

Here is a look at your 2016 Ohio State recruiting class, starting with the newcomers on offense. All star and position rankings are based on 247 Sports‘ player rankings.
