Jordan Fuller- Old Tappan (Westwood, NJ)

Size: 6’2″- 196 lbs.

Position: ATH (#6 ATH, 4 stars)

No player was recruited harder, and longer, by Urban Meyer than Jordan Fuller. Despite all of those efforts, Fuller’s recruitment drew into the final days of the recruiting cycle. Notre Dame and Michigan made runs at the talented athlete, but ultimately he ended up where most thought he would from the start: in the Ohio State recruiting class.

Fuller used his final visit to check in on Michigan, and he did so with several other New Jerseyans, all of them either committed to Michigan or seriously considering it. The visit was worrisome, obviously. But in the end, his long-standing relationship with the Ohio State staff won out.

The Buckeyes are getting a superb athlete who can affect the game in many ways. He played all over the field, and on both sides of the ball in high school, which is why he is listed as an athlete. Michigan was recruiting him as a potential two-way player, much like Jabrill Peppers has become for them.

He will play in the secondary at Ohio State, but exactly where we cannot be sure. He has the perfect blend of size and speed for a corner, and he could get his first looks there. Where he settles in at could ultimately be determined by what happens around him, though. Depending on how guys develop, he could very well move back to safety to fill a need.

As an elite athlete, you can never count Fuller out in regards to early playing time. He could be an immediate contributor on special teams, but he could also provide depth in an unproven secondary. Whether it is 2016, or if he takes a year to find his footing, you have to be excited about Fuller and his potential impact on the program.
