Joshua Perry grew up in the Columbus area and was a star at both running back and linebacker in high school. Coach Urban Meyer knew that linebacker was the position he should play in college.

Perry was a backup as a freshman but saw playing time at linebacker and on special teams and became a starter the following year. Last season as a junior, Perry was second in the Big Ten in tackles with 124 and was voted second team all conference by the media.

He has 73 tackles this season bringing his career total to 266 with 18 tackles for a loss. Josh was elected Captain before his senior season which proves he is a great leader as well as a talented football player.

Cam Williams was a top 10 ranked middle linebacker in high school and the number one player in the state of Massachusetts. While his career has probably not played out as he expected, he has been a very valuable player for coach Urban Meyer.

Since he was a freshman Williams has been in the two deep at either the inside or outside linebacker position, wherever he was needed at the time. His versatility has been invaluable especially when the depth in the linebacking corps was lacking.

However, Williams has been even more important to the success of the special teams during his time as a Buckeye. So much so that coach Meyer called him his captain on special teams when he was only a sophomore. With his contribution to Ohio State’s success the last four years, Cam Williams will certainly be missed.
