Defensive Line

Grade: B

The line did a good job of containing Tech’s running game by allowing 2.9 yards per carry. The Hokies weren’t able to establish a consistent running game thanks to the efforts of the line.

While the line was able to pressure the quarterback, I believe they could’ve done a better job. Michael Brewer was able to get into a rhythm in the second quarter. They made the adjustments necessary to get pressure on him in the second half and knock him out of the game, but I would’ve liked to have seen them not let him get into a rhythm at all.

Fortunately Joey Bosa is coming back next week and will solve a lot of these problems.
