Wide Receivers

Grade: A

Braxton Miller and the rest of the receiving core stole the show. Miller proved to us that he is indeed the self proclaimed best athlete in college football. He put the team on his back in the third quarter by scoring on an electric 54 yard touchdown pass from Jones and for running for a 53 yard score. The former quarterback finished with 140 all purpose yards and earned the honors of Big Ten offensive player of the week. He also catapulted himself into the early running for the Heisman Trophy, but we don’t want to get ahead of ourselves.

Miller wasn’t the only receiver that had a good day. Michael Thomas had an excellent touchdown catch to open up the scoring for the Buckeyes.

The only knock I had on the receivers is Parris Campbell’s drop in the first half on what could’ve been an opening touchdown.

All in all it was a good day for the receivers, especially considering they were playing without a few key players.
