Grant also impressed at the Combine. The former Ohio State defensive back had the second most bench press reps among corners. Grant had 21, the leader Josh Shaw from USC had 26. Grant’s 40-time was 4.44 seconds, which ranked forth among corner backs.

Doran also provided some insight into the upcoming quarterback battle at Ohio State. “If I had to guess, I’d say Cardale Jones. In the last three games, even though those were his first three starts, to win games like that in the fashion he did was unheard of, really. You don’t really see it at all. You know he can take on more. Obviously he couldn’t do much more than what he did. He’ll be ready.”

“Braxton can throw the ball, but Cardale has a different arm.”
