Week 5- Maryland

After an exciting game against the Bearcats, the No. 18 Ohio State team made it’s second trip of the season to the state of Maryland. Not only was this the Big Ten season opener for both schools, it was also Maryland’s first conference home game as a member of the Big Ten.

Coming off of a big performance in the previous week, J.T. Barrett carried his momentum into the game against the Terrapins. He lead Buckeyes to a 31-10 lead at the half, scoring on drives that were all under four minutes in length.

Ezekiel Elliott rushed for 139 yards on 24 carries. The Silver Bullet defense had four interceptions. One of those interceptions was caught by freshman linebacker Raekwon McMillan, who returned it for a touchdown.

Ohio State pulled away easily and won 54-24.
