The two best players will need to show they are the two best players

I’ll cheat with this last one and combine two players into this slot. The best players on this Ohio State team are Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson. In order for the Buckeyes to be frontrunners for the National Championship, these two wide receivers will need to play up to their potential.

There is no reason to believe both Olave and Wilson won’t have career years this year. Both players are looking at becoming top ten draft picks at the end of the season. Both players are looking to win a National Championship, Gold Pants, and all that comes with a stellar season at Ohio State. Already showing they are two of the best players in the country, all that is needed is to continue the upward trajectory.

One thing benefiting both players is a friendly competition between each other. They know they are in direct competition at being the best wide receiver so that should have pushed both players throughout the offseason.

Giving C.J. Stroud not one, but two potential All-American wide receivers will be invaluable for the first-year starter. If Ohio State wins the National Championship, chances are it is because both Olave and Wilson had incredible years.

If all of these guys are able to deliver, the Buckeyes should be a really hard team to beat this season.
