Why Ohio State is better than most of Swinney’s top 10

The next team that Dabo Swinney claimed was better than the Ohio State Buckeyes are the Georgia Bulldogs. Georgia falls into a common argument that has been brought up and will continue to be brought up. Georgia finished the season with two losses. Ohio State on the other hand finished the season with zero losses.
Georgia did not even make it to the SEC championship this season. On the other hand, Ohio State won the Big Ten Championship.
Georgia finished the season ranked 9th by the playoff committee and will be playing the number 8 ranked Cincinnati Bearcats in the Peach Bowl.
Georgia had one of the best resumes in the country this season and if they finished the season undefeated they would have easily made the playoffs and even likely would have been the first seed. However, because of their two losses they were kept out and ranked lower than Ohio State.
Georgia had a much stronger strength of schedule. Theirs being ranked 9th and Ohio State’s being ranked 67th. Ohio State had a better strength of record and game control.
Along with this, Ohio State is superior to Georgia in the FPI. Ohio State has a higher rating and a second rank while Georgia has a lower rating and a respectable fourth rank.
