Familiar faces to end the season

@Illinois

The lone trip Ohio State would take to visit a West Division opponent this year, Ohio State keeps close with how far they travel (shorter than their trip to Rutgers).

This is a historic rivalry that has lost some flavor in recent decades, but allowing these teams to compete for the IlliBuck is a fun cross-divisional game.

Michigan State

Look who’s back. Scheduling some home and home series will help ensure maximum flexibility throughout the season.

If teams are struggling with COVID issues early on, a home and home with Michigan State could allow some of the other games to be moved around to different dates without removing a game between two of the big powerhouses.

@Michigan

For those who do not like the idea of starting the season against Michigan, what about starting and ending it against the Wolverines?

In a season where schools will likely not get the full amount of ticket revenue, maximizing TV deals and ratings will be paramount.

What better way to get high TV ratings than by playing the biggest game twice in the same year.

We know that teams look totally different in week one than they do by the last week of the season, so this could be a unique way to have the teams see how they have improved throughout the season.

This again gives an option as a week that could be changed/removed if need be since the teams will have already played.

What would you change about this schedule? Do you like the idea of home and home series or schedule more teams from the West?
