Ohio State is an underdog heading into the College Football Playoff semifinal. Many think Clemson will move on to play the winner of the LSU-Oklahoma game.

There is no doubt the Tigers are a talented team but I don’t think they can hang with the Buckeyes for four quarters.

That’s because Ryan Day is an old school coach whose team will be the most physical one tonight.

Coach Day’s game plan will be the same as it has been all season. Pound the rock early and often with J.K. Dobbins and stop the Tiger’s running game.

When you have a back like Dobbins running behind one of the best offensive lines in the country it takes its toll on the front seven of the defense as the game wears on. Shutting down the running game will put Clemson in poor down and distance situations and make the offense one-dimensional.

Quarterback Trevor Lawrence and his talented receiving corps will still make plays but the offense won’t be as dynamic as if running back Travis Etienne was more involved.

I see this being a close game at the half, but as the game wears on the Buckeyes will begin to pull away. Ohio State wins 38-24.

Well, those are our predictions for the the Ohio State football team’s CFP semifinal game against the Clemson Tigers. Hopefully there will be one more game to predict.
