Ohio State picks off Jack Coan three times

Wisconsin quarterback Jack Coan hasn’t thrown many interceptions all season. With only four picks on the year, Coan has done a great job of not turning the ball over and playing game manager.  That changes on Saturday night.

The QB is coming of a very impressive four game streak. In wins over Iowa, Nebraska, Purdue and Minnesota, Coan has thrown for 818 yards and seven touchdowns. He’s coming in very confident via Madison.com:

"“I feel really confident. I think a lot of that comes through my preparation, and a lot of that comes through my teammates,” Coan said of his play this month. “I’ve got a lot of great teammates around me and I know that they’re going to help me play well.”"

Confident or not, Coan is going to have to be able to make some explosive plays through the air to beat Ohio State. A ground game will help loosen things up a bit but I believe these Buckeye secondary players are looking to feast on Saturday night.

With Shaun Wade expected to be back in the lineup at slot and future top five NFL draft pick Jeff Okudah moving back to play the outside, this could be a long game for Jack Coan.

I expect the Buckeyes to play a lot of four linebacker sets like they did the first time around and challenge Coan to make throws over the top of them. I don’t believe he is the type of quarterback who can sling the ball all around the field on teams.

Three interceptions on Saturday night should prove my theory.
