After a 2-0 start to the season and a Top 25 win over Syracuse, the Terrapins (3-6, 1-5 Big Ten) have seen their season come crashing down – losing 6 out of 7 – and could be eliminated from bowl eligibility against the Buckeyes (8-0, 5-0 Big Ten).

On offense, Maryland has no clear leader at quarterback or running back who could put a great game together to challenge Ohio State. On defense, it’s much of the same. Leading tackler Ayinde Eley has put together a solid season but everyone else has been middle-of-the-road.

Against the Buckeyes, Maryland will find it difficult to move the ball against the No. 1 scoring defense – and second in yards allowed per game – and will be overwhelmed by the likes of Baron Browning and Jeffrey Okudah. If the Terps put up more than 21 points, that’s a win for them.

The explosive Ohio State offense, led by Justin Fields, J.K. Dobbins and a fantastic receiving corps, will charge ahead to a huge halftime lead and will never look back in what will be a continued sign of their dominance across the board.
