Ohio State Football: Carlos Hyde runs wild in London
Ezekiel Elliott | 23 attempts, 139 yards
It was marketed as a duel between two young, stud running backs. Zeke versus Saquon Barkley was the talk of the NFL on Monday Night and Elliott proved for now that he is the superior back.
While Elliott didn’t get into the endzone at all, he still had a great night rushing the ball for the Cowboys. He had 139 yards on 23 attempts in the game. Barkley, on the other hand, had just 14 carries for 28 rushing yards.

It’s going to be an uphill battle to try to claim his third rushing title though as Christian McCaffrey and Dalvin Cook have strangle holds on that position right now. Zeke has 741 yards rushing on the season right now while the leader, Cook, currently sits at 894.
Elliott had a bit of a disadvantage from the start of the season though. His offseason contract holdout made the Cowboys have to ease him in a little to their game plan at the start of the season, while McCaffrey and Cook were busy putting up 100-yard rushing outputs.
Zeke is going to continue working and by the end of the year, it wouldn’t surprise me to see him right at the top of the rushing leader list with those guys.
That is going to do it for this week’s edition of the best the Buckeyes have to offer in the NFL. We are now officially in the back-half of the season so it will be interesting to see which Buckeyes can keep it up. Come back next week to see who finds their way onto the list in week 10.
