3. Alabama

It seems like the Crimson Tide will always be ranked in the top 4. Not only do they have the pedigree to consistently warrant a top spot – they have yet to miss a trip to the College Football Playoff – they have the results on the field to back it up.

Alabama has a grueling schedule remaining in the SEC and while a lot can happen right now they are playing like one of the best teams in the country.

The biggest storyline people will be watching in anticipation for the Nov. 9th matchup with LSU is the health of quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. If Tua is not 100 percent when his team takes on the Tigers, will that sway the committee’s mind about the results of this game?

I think that a Crimson Tide loss without a healthy Tua will essentially go unnoticed by the committee.

The reason Alabama is lower on my list is because of their question marks on defense. Can the youth really step up and stop opponents when it matters? Until the Tide faces a good offense this defense will continue to be questioned.

Now for my 4th ranked team.
