Ohio State Football: Buckeye Leafs for Michigan State game
Game MVP’s
Offensive MVP: J.K. Dobbins, who had 24 carries for 172 yards and a touchdown, was the catalyst for a Buckeye offense that overwhelmed the Michigan State defense that has been up-and-down this season. Dobbins continued what has been an impressive season, pushing his rushing totals to 116 carries for 924 yards and six touchdowns.

Defensive MVP: Shaun Wade; it would be easy to put Young, Browning, or Fuller here because of their performances that show up on the stat sheet, but Wade put together an impressive game and put the cherry on top of an almost perfect defensive performance with a sack on Michigan State’s final offensive play of the game.
Special Teams MVP: Drue Chrisman, 4 punts for 193 yards, helped flip the field position, which is vital to winning a game in college football. Even when punting from inside his own 20, Chrisman kept the Spartans away from great field position and led special teams in the Buckeyes sixth win of the season.
The Buckeyes executed almost perfectly to improve to 6-0 and deflate any hopes that Michigan State had for the College Football Playoff by giving the Spartans their second loss.
Ohio State has a bye week before their Oct. 18 (Friday night) matchup in Evanston against Northwestern, while Michigan State travels to Wisconsin next Saturday to face the undefeated Badgers.
