Denzel Ward

Another Buckeye corner making this list shouldn’t come as a surprise to any Ohio State football fan. It has become well-known the Buckeyes are one of the best in the country at churning out great NFL corners.

Denzel Ward was the latest to be added to that list last season as the rookie made the pro bowl after recording 53 tackles, five for loss, three interceptions, and defending 11 passes.

For a while it seemed that Ward was headed in the direction of being the Buckeyes’ third straight NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t meant to be as Ward missed a few games in the middle of the season.

With a full season of football, there is no telling the type of numbers that Ward will be able to put up.

Expect Ward to excel this season.

Now for a star on the other side of the ball.
