Michigan State (-22.5) over Tulsa

This game can’t come quick enough for the Spartans’ offense that is looking to rebound after a dreadful season last year.

I look for Mark Dantonio’s revamped offense to get back to running the ball, especially since his best teams do this really well.

Expect Connor Heyward to get the nod, but I would not be surprised to see freshman Anthony Williams push him.

Quarterback Brian Lewerke is back looking to return to his 2017 form when he passed for 2793 yards and rushed for 559.

Tulsa has had back-to-back disappointing seasons and coach Phillip Montgomery seat is getting a little hot.

He has a veteran quarterback in Baylor transfer Zach Smith, but I doubt the Spartans’s defense has much trouble containing him or Tulsa’s fast-paced offense.

Dantonio’s teams sometimes start slowly, but I don’t think that will happen this year.

Spartans 36-10.
